Sky's Edge Publishing is a new book publisher devoted to the publishing of books and other media that are willing to ask the difficult questions, challenge the status quo, and generally strive to push the edge of our understanding.

We believe that we are living in extraordinary times. As human beings, we hold the potential to create awe-inspiring beauty and perform deeply compassionate and noble acts. Yet, we are also vulnerable to being overwhelmed by ignorance, greed, and fear, leading to the potential for us to cause unimaginable harm, both to ourselves and to the other inhabitants or our home, the planet Earth.

We believe that we find ourselves at an historic tipping point, balanced on a knife edge between the possibility of moving towards great harmony on one hand and incomprehensible destruction on the other. Will we aspire towards wisdom and compassion, and strive to create a world in which human beings live in peace and harmony with each other and with our fellow inhabitants? Or will we succumb to ignorance, quite possibly destroying ourselves and wreaking great destruction on the Earth in the process?

Given this very precarious position in which we find ourselves, we believe that there are few activities more important than facilitating the flow of information, wisdom, and knowledge, especially with regard to the most challenging and difficult questions of our times, questions such as: Why do we fight? Why do we love? What gives us joy and meaning, and what causes fear and suffering? Why do we as individuals and we as societies so often become stuck in ignorant belief systems and destructive behavior, and how can we break these spells and move towards our full human potential?
